What kind of role a village school, CHOUYOUKAN, had been played for?

CHOUYOUKAN became famous at the age of the second headmaster, AIZAWA HOKUMEI. AIZAWA belonged to the eclectic school, SECCHYUU GAKUHA.

AIZAWA NANJYOU was born as the first son of AIZAWA HOKUMEI at KATAKAI MURA.

His father, HOKUMEI, passed away when NANJYOU was young and moved to his mother’s birthplace in KASHIWAZAKI. He studied at CHOUYOUKAN until he went to learn SECCHYUU GAKU in Edo. Returning from Edo, NANJYOU opened a school, SANYODOU at MINAMIJYOU in KASHIWAZAKI.

A physicist of Ojiya, HIROKAWA SEIKEN, studied under AIZAWA NANJYOU at SANYODOU when he was young. Later he wrote SANGENSORYAKUSETSU.

I have not found influence of CHOUYOUKAN on industrial field around KATAKAI yet.
